An introduction to Vista Conta
This spacious, funky villa is located on a large plot between the two beaches of Cala Bassa and Cala Conta down the coast from Ibiza's second largest town, San Antonio. With quirky circular feature windows, a large pool and terrace area, you'll revel in sitting back, unwinding and drinking in the wonderful views over the bay and islands beyond. The ever-changing colours of the Mediterranean contrast with the vivid green of mature pines and sabinas surrounding the property. The small, self-contained apartment within the villa would be ideal for groups of friends, or several generations of a family holidaying together. A modern villa with glorious views, close to two sandy, shallow beaches…what more could you ask for?
Near to the villa are the two beaches of Cala Bassa and Cala Conta. The former is formed by two stretches of fine sand backed by rocky terrain, with a third, smaller beach accessed by steps hewn into the rock. This stretch of coastline was awarded a Blue Flag in 2004, testimony to the clear, shallow waters and amenities. There are a few cafes available for refreshment and a selection of watersports for the more courageous. It's ideal for children and the view over to the islands of Bosc, Conejeira and S'Esparta is ever-changing. The beach at Cala Bassa is next to Cala Conta, around a jutting promontory further east towards San Antonio Town. It also has shallow waters, watersports and cafes, but with promontories on either side, it's great for fishing, with the pine forests backing onto it offering a cool respite from the sun.
You can catch ferries from Cala Bassa and Cala Conta beaches into San Antonio Town for a little daytrip. It only takes about fifteen to twenty minutes and deposits you in the West End. This is the oldest part of San Antonio Town and stretches from the 16th century church down to the port area, great for exploring with shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment.
