Then you've got lively Playa Del Ingles just a short drive away where you'll find the famous Yumbo centre with its shops, bars and restaurants. Or head for Maspalomas' Faro area around the lighthouse, which has some fairly swanky shopping arcades, as well as a sophisticated strip of al fresco restaurants.
