Cosmos Maris  

If you like to escape the crowds on holiday, then the Cosmos Maris is surely the place to come. Set away from the village centre, tranquillity is the order of the day, though the beach, bars and tavernas are still conveniently close at hand. Friendly and family-run, these apartments are clean, modern and comfortable, offering all the ingredients for a relaxing holiday. And it's this quality that's resulted in Gold awards in 2005, 2006 and 2007. The stress free aura continues with the invitingly large pool, complete with its own bar, which also doubles as reception. There's no need to move from your sunbed all day, as the bar serves snacks, meals and drinks. However, just a few minutes' walk away lies the shingle beach and the deep blue sea, beckoning enticingly. If you feel like stretching your legs, you can walk all the way along the beach to Pefkos for an ice-cream!

Buses stop close by and run into Lindos, where you can climb to the magnificent, ruined castle to survey the pretty town cascading down the hill to the beach. You'll also find a huge choice of restaurants and nightlife here in Lindos. It's also well worth making the hour's journey to Rhodes Town, where captivating cobbled streets and the castle of the Knights of St John await you.
